Travelling in South-Eastern Europe
300 kilometers from 1pm to 7pm! This was the time we needed to hitch-hike from the outer areas of Istanbul to the border with Bulgaria. Among the lifts were a police guy with his gun and some other interesting Turkish fellows.
Staying for a night in a smoky restaurant at the border was really tiring. Thus, after getting to Sofia mid-day on Thursday we got a train to Belgrade.
And hitch-hiking from Belgrade to Zagreb was really easy: just leave the main station of Belgrade and walk 10 minutes right onto the highway :)
Now, being in Vienna, life looks really simple again. No worries about who will give one a lift. Luxury of stable life!
